On further review...
Just watched the first episode of Star Wars for the first time since I was hugely disappointed with it on its opening weekend.
This time I enjoyed it. Maybe it was the lack of expectation, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I remember.

I still think that the movie was ruined by Jar Jar; the little brat playing Anakin sucked (so did Mark Hamill); those factors were just too much for the rest of the good points to rescue the movie.
Darth Maul ROCKED...too bad he died. Liam Neeson was awesome.
Still, this is the worst of the 5.
I have to disagree, watching all of the movies side by side like I did (huge nerdom) I found that episode 1 actually is better than episode two. Episode 4 is actually not that good, just barely ahead of episode 1.
